Burnkit2600 pay homage to one of their most influential bands with a psychedigital cover of The Beatles’ song, ‘Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!’ – one of John Lennon’s most playfully visual songs, and one of the group’s (and of course George Martin’s) most experimental productions.

'Phoenix' - in Progress
Jericho
I met Othoniel Joseph at a songwriter's workshop in Danbury, CT in 2003. He and I hit it off immediately and proceeded to collaborate on the various tracks we had in progress. We recorded off and on over the next year at a friend's studio and developed our synth-pop tinged sound. The result of that work, an album tentatively entitled Phoenix, shows great promise. I hope one day we will pick it back up and see it through to completion.

J.B. Doriss
Eli and I recorded this song in 2003 for our grandmother after our grandfather, John B. Doriss, passed away. He was a classical music lover and this was one of the pieces he frequented in his collection. He is missed.

Eli and I lived together for a brief time in Santa Barbara, CA. This song was recorded one night as Eli tested his latest work against my latest beat. I am always impressed by Eli's guitar work.

In 2005 I was visiting Marsh in Hawaii to help him get the most out of his studio. While there I fell in love with swimming in the warm clear Hawaiian water. The atmosphere of the place permeated all that we did. One session I took a pass at remixing one of Marsh's guitar riffs to show him how easy it was to morph sounds with programs like Ableton Live. The results perfectly capture the feel of that aquatic week in paradise.

The Psyclones, comprised of my father Seth Lefferts and his parter Doug Emery, have recorded some brilliant music. Over the years my dad has played on many of my tracks, so I offered to contribute to one of his. Surprisingly, they liked my version so much they ended up using it on their album.

My cousin Sean is an incredibly talented musician. His singing voice is unparalleled in the family. We did a round of demos at my home studio in 2003 and this song was my favorite of the bunch. After the project left my hands I couldn't leave it alone, and ultimately came up with this remix.
